Flaggenbuch 1939 reports the standard of the Sultan, a white flag with golden crescent and star as in the national flag topped with a crown, the whole inside a dark grey (?) wreath.

The Cigarette ALBUM "Die Welt in Bildern Album 7 : Flaggen der Welt,
aussereurpäische Staaten" published by the Bulgaria Cigarette Manufactory,
some time between 1928 and 1932 shows the Royal Standard of the Sultan of
Kelantan. It is a plain white flag of unknown ratio, in the middle there is a
golden ensemble, consisting of a crescent, topped by a 5-point-star, all of it
surmounted by a royal crown. In the album on top of the crown there is a cross,
which is probably wrong, being a symbol of Christians. The golden ensemble is
surrounded by a wreath.
In "Flaggenbuch 1939(Reprint)" on page 117 there is obviously depicted the same
flag. On top of the crown there is another smaller crescent, topped by 4-point-
star that might be a symbol of a diamond. I think this one is the right version.
